MDI with Aerochamber
Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) with aerochamber. This includes Flovent Ventolin (Salbutamol), Advair, Zenhale, Alvesco)
Some inhalers may have dose counters on the back of the inhaler; if the number on the counter is 0, the inhaler is empty.
Observe how many doses the inhaler has for inhalers that do not have counters. This will be written on the box where the inhaler came in or directly on your prescription. You can call your pharmacist if you are unsure.
If your inhaler has a steroid in it, such as Flovent, Alvesco, Advair or Zenhale, you must rinse your mouth with water and spit.
Please store your inhaler in a cool dry area away from children.
